Your GBSN – Dates for the coming year

GBSN is run by mums, for mums.  It is a vital part of our work to include Peer Supporters in planning, education and discussion.

Trustees meet every two months and we are now arranging dates for a Fundraising Sub-committee and Group Reps Forum to take place in the intervening months – watch this space. If you feel you have skills, experience and little spare time to offer on either of these groups or as a Trustee see our article on how to find out more.

All Peer Supporters are encouraged to put the following dates in their diaries for upcoming exciting events!

It’s been a while since our last Seminar.  We are now pleased to announce two Peer Supporter Updates in 2010.  The first is on 25th September from 2-4pm at the Deaf Association in Gloucester.  The venue has space for children to play (we hope to provide a creche), car parking and kitchen facilities.  We will be running a series of workshops on general updates, Child Protection and promoting GBSN at antenatal groups with a coffee break – offers of cakes greatly appreciated.  Peer Supporters should aim to attend at least two seminars a year.  Please contact Rachel Bray to register your interest on info@gbsn.org.uk.

The second Seminar will include our AGM.  Your support in attending is greatly appreciated.  The AGM followed by Peer Supporter updates/guest speaker (topics will be agreed at September 25th update) will be held at the Deaf Association, Gloucester from 9am – 1pm on the 4th December.  The day will end with a Bring and Share Lunch. Please contact Rachel Bray to register your interest on info@gbsn.org.uk.

Following our successful and very enjoyable Pampered Chef Evening we hope to host a Baby and Toddler Friendly Christmas Shopping Experience in November.  If you or anyone you know is a retailer who would be interested in a stall, please contact Jo Abbott on jo.abbott@gbsn.org.uk.
