Treasurer’s Update

Trustees have been working hard approaching companies and charity funders locally regarding our funding shortfall.  As yet we do not have any major new sources of funds.  However, we have some donations being sent by local companies and many of our mums are putting in huge efforts for fundraising. 
 
Thank you to everyone who is sharing GBSN’s work with others and encouraging donations.  Every penny placed in our collection tins each week is greatly valued, please keep putting them out and look out for some new posters explaining more about our charitable status to be displayed at your group soon!
 
Thanks to the many little donations and our own careful cost saving measures we are pleased to announce that no further groups will have to close currently.  We will be running at 10 groups from September due to BAMBI closing for different reasons.  The 10 remaining groups will be able to continue until the end of November.  Should any further closures or mergers be required we will consult with groups as much as possible and let everyone know with as much notice as we can.
