100 Angels Campaign
100 donations of just £50 would run one of our support groups for a whole year…
Gloucestershire Breastfeeding Supporters’ Network (GBSN) currently relies on the generous donations of local families to run our breastfeeding support groups.
Funding is difficult to find for all charities at the moment and hence from April this year we are forced to cut back the services at our groups and rely on the goodwill of our current supporters to keep our groups ticking over with a minimum of resources while we search for more funds. Sadly, this situation will not sustain us for long, or enable us to provide the optimum service we would like to our mums.
This is why we have launched our ‘100 Angels’ campaign.
GBSN currently operates 7 breastfeeding support groups in the county. To run one group for one year and provide an effective service costs approximately £5,000. This cost ensures the opening of the group every week, venue hire, the attendance of a qualified breastfeeding counsellor, resources and information for families, training of our peer supporters, refreshments, insurance, accounting and administration.
We are asking for one-off donations of just £50 from 100 generous businesses or individuals local to each of our groups.
100 x £50 = £5,000 and will run one local support group for one year.
Please take a look at each of our support groups to see how their work impacts families in their local communities…
