20/11/11 – Babies Film afternoon
On Sunday 20th November from 2.30pm until 5pm MOBS in Stroud will be having a film event at Lansdown Hall, Stroud (GL5 1BN). Doors open at 2pm. Entrance is £5 on the door. There will be tea, cake and a panel discussion following the film with a raffle of prizes from many of Stroud’s local shops. The Panel discussion will be with a Child Psychotherapist, Child Play specialist, HV specialising in mental health of children, midwife and breastfeeding counsellor, for any questions that may have come up during the film. Just right for a rainy cold Sunday afternoon!
The film has no commentary, just the four babies in their first year, from four different continents and traditions. We very much hope that parents will bring babes in arms and children will love it too.
Two reviews of the film:
“This is a DVD that will be sure to interest men and women alike – although parents will get most from it. It is funny, informative, interesting and very heart-warming. The different cultures portrayed are fascinating and for parents of young babies it can be very encouraging to realise that there is no “right” way to do things.”
“I am a grandmother, and was so entertained by this DVD that I now own a copy myself – if I ever feel sad or bored, watching this makes me laugh again.”
