About GBSN

GBSN is “owned” and run by peer supporters.  Peer supporters are mums who have had a breastfeeding experience, have completed a GBSN peer supporters’ training course and provide support to other breastfeeding mums.

All GBSN groups have an extensively trained breastfeeding specialist such as NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor or Breastfeeding Network Supporter present to support the Peer Supporters and to help mothers as needed.

The trustees have full responsibility for the management and administration of the charity and each trustee has an oversight role on one of the charity’s areas of activity eg. finance, fundraising, training.
